Kiril & Denitza Minev

Hello CAC Team! We are a family of five, plus our two dogs, living in the Chicago Metro Area. My name is Kiril, and together with my wife, Denitza, we are the proud parents of three amazing boys, aged 7, 11, and 15. We’ve always believed in the power of creativity and its ability to shape young minds, and that’s why we’re excited to be part of this journey. While both Denitza and I have had fulfilling careers in the Tech and Healthcare industries, we knew that something was missing. We’ve always dreamed of becoming business owners, and we wanted to find a way to make a meaningful impact while doing something we love as a family.

We decided to become CAC Owners because we wanted to combine our passion for business ownership with the opportunity to make a positive impact on children. Our backgrounds in Tech and Healthcare have taught us the value of continuous learning and growth, and we saw CAC as the perfect way to share that mindset with children. We’re excited to contribute to a community that fosters creativity and allows us to leave a lasting impact while doing something truly fulfilling together as a family.

Our Teachers

Kateryna Havrylova Photo

Kateryna Havrylova

A lifelong artist, Kateryna Havrylova sees the world through light, form, and the beauty of human expression. Her passion for art began with formal academic training in Fine Art and Painting Conservation-Restoration, where she developed a deep respect for classical techniques and the power of visual storytelling.

Drawn especially to portraiture, Kateryna believes the eyes reveal both the soul and the story of a person. Whether working in oil, watercolor, or acrylic, she brings sensitivity and skill to every piece she creates.

As a teacher, Kateryna is dedicated to nurturing creativity in others. With years of experience guiding both children and adults, she creates a warm, inspiring environment where students feel encouraged to explore, take risks, and grow as artists. Her classes are not only about learning technique but also about discovering the joy and confidence that come from artistic expression.

Through her artistry and teaching, Kateryna helps students see that creativity is more than a skill — it is a way of connecting with themselves and the world around them.

Courtney McMillan

Courtney McMillan is a self-taught artist whose passion for creativity began at a young age, inspired by her grandmother, a professional oil painter from Scotland. Over the years, she has explored a variety of mediums, with watercolor as her favorite, along with pastels, illustration, and mixed media.
Known for her whimsical style and encouraging teaching approach, Courtney creates a warm, supportive environment where students feel free to explore their imagination and grow in confidence. She has shared her love of art not only with children but also with seniors in assisted living communities, using creativity to spark joy and connection.
Courtney believes art is one of the happiest ways to connect with the world, and she is excited to bring her energy and creativity to Children’s Art Classes of Arlington Heights.
